You need to register for the service before you can transfer data bundle either in gigs or mb to any other mtn number

To Register for MTN Data Transfer Service

Dial *131*2# and Select Register Data Service

Secondly You will Get a Confirmation that you've successfully Registered For MTN Data Bundle Transfer Service and your Default pin is "0000"

To Change your pin from Default Simply Follow the Instruction on the command Prompt

To proceed with data bundle bundle sharing 

Select "Data Share"

Select the beneficiary you want to transfer credit to "Add Beneficiary"

" Enter Beneficiaries Number"

"Enter the amount of Mb you want to transfer."
